Kingdom Building Ministries - At the end of that time I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised my eyes toward heaven, and my sanity was restored (Daniel 4:34).
Did you ever walk all the way across your home or office to go to find something in another room, only to get there and forget what it was that you went there to get in the first place? You sit for a few moments, hoping the item's identity will come back to you, but end up walking away frustrated. Inevitably, you remember what the item was later when you're in the middle of doing something completely different in perhaps a different place all together.
King Nebuchadnezzar had a similar experience. He became so enthralled with the kingdom he saw which had developed around him, that he walked in and around it and forgot who made it that way. He became proud and puffed up with what he momentarily credited to himself. Then, in that moment following, his memory was restored to him (with a little help from God's voice). That, along with a demonstration of God's power (just in case he needed a reminder) he remembered that he deserved to credit at all for the glorious kingdom that had been built in Babylon. The glory was God's and God's alone.
This Thanksgiving season, may you and yours have much for which to thank and give God glory...and may your song of praise and thanksgiving be sung continually throughout the coming year.

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever (Psalm 107:1).
